Jonathan Hagley shot and killed Naomi Hagley in a home on Hickory Street around 8:25 a.m., Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said.
Naomi was taken to an area hospital where she was pronounced dead, her twin brother fled the scene, Musella said.
Hagley was found several blocks away by Bogota police, Musella said. A handgun with a defaced serial number was recovered near the crime scene, he added.
Hagley was charged with first-degree murder and various weapons offenses. He was transported to the Bergen County Jail in Hackensack, NJ pending a detention hearing.
